1. Trial plan (₹499 / 1 month)
You are eligible for a full refund of ₹499 if all of the following apply:
- The refund request is made within 7 calendar days of the original payment date
- The enrolled student has watched less than 10% of any course content at the time of request
- You have not received a coupon or upgraded to a paid annual plan
If these conditions are met, we will refund the full ₹499 to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.
Why the 10% usage condition? The trial is designed to let parents and students evaluate the platform. If significant content has been consumed (more than 10%), the trial has effectively been used and a refund is not available.
2. Annual plans (Plus & Pro)
You are eligible for a refund within 14 calendar days of the annual subscription payment, calculated as follows:
- Within 7 days of payment AND less than 10% content consumed: Full refund of the annual amount.
- Between 7–14 days OR up to 25% content consumed: Prorated refund based on the days remaining in the year, minus a 5% administrative fee.
- After 14 days OR more than 25% content consumed: No refund. Your access continues for the remainder of the year.
"Content consumed" is measured via your child's account usage logs (videos watched, quizzes attempted).
3. How to request a refund
To request a refund, email refunds@indialearnx.com with:
- Your registered email address and mobile number
- The Razorpay payment ID (you can find this in the invoice we emailed you, format:
pay_xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) - A brief reason for the refund (optional, but it helps us improve)
We will respond within 2 working days with confirmation and the refund timeline.
4. Refund processing time
- Once approved, refunds are initiated within 3 working days
- The amount reaches your bank account/card/UPI in 5–10 working days, depending on your bank
- You will receive an email and SMS confirmation when the refund is initiated, with the Razorpay refund reference ID
5. Non-refundable circumstances
Refunds are not available in these cases:
- Account suspension or termination due to violation of our Terms of Service (e.g., content piracy, account sharing outside the family)
- Change of mind after the refund window has passed
- Dissatisfaction with academic outcomes (we cannot guarantee specific marks or exam results)
- Failure to access the platform due to your own device, internet, or technical issues unrelated to India LearnX
- Coupon-discounted or bundled offers (refund value calculated on the actual amount paid, not on the original list price)
6. Failed and disputed payments
If a payment fails but money was deducted from your account, the bank typically reverses the amount automatically within 5–7 working days. If it doesn't, contact us with your Razorpay transaction reference and we will help you trace it with the gateway.
Initiating a chargeback through your bank without first contacting our support team may delay resolution. Please always reach out to us first.
7. Cancellation vs refund
You can cancel your account at any time (no auto-renewal exists by default). Cancellation stops further communication and prevents future renewals, but does not by itself trigger a refund. To request a refund, follow the steps in section 3.
